Insect Catcher

Have problems catching the dreadful roaches and house lizards?

How about a catcher that allows you to trap it and dispose it away easily, either outside the house or trap it further into a bag and dump it away?

Car - where did I park my car?

"Gosh! Where have I parked my car???"

Did this happen to you and had a hard time searching for your car in a Commercial Buidling basement carpark?

Why did I specifically mention a basement carpark?  Because there are already GPS products out there that allows you to locate your car in a open area carpark.

GPS will not work in an enclosed area.

How about an improvised car remote key (with a lcd display) that will store the location of your car?
But the carpark needs to enhance their system as well.

Referring to a typical shopping center carpark in Singapore, these days it has a sensor on top of each lot to show whether it is empty or not, and it "feeds" information to the various monitors on the number of available lots around the car park.

How about improvising this sensor and make it transmit the location of that lot?

Then with the improvised car remote key, while locking your car, it will receive a signal from this sensor and locks down the lot number and location into the car key, and display it on its lcd screen.  This is a simple design.

More complex design may include a bigger lcd screen that will display your current location and the car's position in real-time.  That way you just need to follow the signal to reach your car.

How does this idea sound?  :)

SmartPhone with a virtual screen

Your smartphone screen is too small and a netbook or ipad is too big to carry around?

How about a smartphone with a virtual screen?

Once enabled, it will project a screen that pops up in front of you. It should work something like a projector but the technology should be able to make it with a opaque background so that it is viewable even without a hard background or wall.

Clock - baby feeding time

Forgot your baby's next feeding time?

How about a bluetooth enabled clock that allows you to beam the current feeding time (probably through a iphone or some device) and displayed it along with the current time?

And with some intelligence, it also allows you to enter/beam the frequency of the feed (e.g. every 3 hrs) and it calculates and display the next feeding time on a separate display.

Further intelligence can be incorporated with a Green and Red indicator.
The Green indicator will light up if the next feeding time has yet pass.
The Red indicator will light up if it already pass the next feeding time.

With this clock in front of your bed, you could take a quick peep at night to see if it has passed the next feeding time.

Clock - sync all at one go

"My! All the clocks were minutes apart!"

Do you have this problem at home?  A few clocks hanging around in the house and each of it are minutes apart?  Too cumbersome to take all down and readjust it?

How about a bluetooth enabled device that will allow you to sync all clocks (bluetooth enabled of course) at one go?  Probably through a iphone application or a device?

Toilet roll (enhanced) compartment

"Shoot!  Whose the last person visited the toilet and forgot to replace with a new toilet roll?"

Does this happen to you at home?

How about an enhanced toilet roll compartment that allows you to store a new roll on top of it.  You just need to replenish it whenever the spare compartment is empty.  No more worries of empty toilet roll! :)

House remote key

How about a remote door key for your apartment where you get to unlock the door when you are few steps away?  Something like a typical car remote key, just that I am thinking of putting the same technology on an apartment door lock.

Did I lock the door when I left the house?
Probably this remote key can do a auto-lock when it is about a (or few) meter away from the lock.  There are already such technology for car lock/alarm, which can be considered here as well.
