How about recycling the conventional mooncake box into a Lantern?
What I have thought of is separating the box into 4 parts (smaller boxes) and each acts as a Lantern by itself. It should have string (or anything of such) so that a stick can be attached to it. These strings/sticks can probably be "hidden" into a secret compartment before taking it out to assemble the lantern.
I have drawn a candle as an example, probably a bulb (with battery included) can be used instead.
As for the mooncake, a conventional mooncake box would have each mooncake individually wrapped and sealed. So in the case that the mooncake is not consumed, it can be taken out from the box and store somewhere else, in case there is a need to use the Lantern rightaway.
In a way, it also serve as free advertising for the company when the Lantern is being carried around.
